First Communion

Michael is on the mend. He had stop losing weight and is now gained three pounds. He is so happy. He developed another ear infection and had two rocephan shots which he was not impressed with, but his ears got better.
Uncle Jimmy took Anthony to the Porter sale with a list that Dad gave him to bid on and how much while he was working at the post office. Yes, Joe was devestated he had to work but he trusted Anthony with his money. I wasn't as trusting but Joe said he knew what he was doing and Anthony did well and bid on the things Joe wanted. He was so proud and we were proud of him.
Little Miss Christina is finally getting those the last three teeth of the 8 she started getting last fall. She has taken it in stride except at night. She has a blood curdling scream. It send chills up your spine. Yes, her lungs must be just fine:)
Here is a picture of Little Miss herself from the back and front. Her hair has not been cut which people have asked but the longer it gets the curlier it gets. There will be not curling iron for her. The front view is of her beautiful face and those big brown eyes:)
Maria had her First Communion on Sunday. She has literally been counting the days for it to come. She loved receiving Jesus for the first time. She looked like an Angel dressed up in white.
Grandpa and Grandma Nelsen with their grandchildren which will be growing by one more in May when Carolee has her little boy.
Joe is busy getting ready to shingle our roof due to hail damage last year and he is restoring a free barn he moved here for the horses. Our goats are also kidding...which is where the kids are right now...watching another be born. We finally were able to plant the potatoes, onions, and garlic yesterday. This is the latest it has ever been. We were anxiously waiting to plant, I wonder how the farmers are handling it.

March/April update

Well I am done working as of March 31st so hopefully I will be able to keep up with the blog much better now. Christina has been growing and doing more things all the time. Her speech is slow coming but she understands when we tell her to do something and she does it. She has learned to dance and it is soooo cute. She gets very lonely when her siblings are outside for long periods of time but she really shows the charm when they come in.
Anthony had his 15th birthday on the 26th. Yes, he is already thinking about driving. Mama is not very happy about it yet. All he wanted was new bedding and a pillow. He reminded me he hasn't had new bedding since he was 4. I guess it was time. He also received an alarm clock. So far everyone is waking up to it but him. Anthony had an organ recital on Sunday the 30th. The two students from each teacher attended and played. One of the Judges for Gold cup asked for Anthony to perform so he felt very honored.
Michael's stomach is getting better but not 100% yet. But he definitely has his activity back. He has been taking on the goat care and he watches them all the time. He comes in an tells us if one is sick or is looking slow. We are kidding again so it will get busy soon.
Maria won the state piano competition so she will be playing at the Honors concert at Northrop Auditorium at the U of M campus. She is so excited. Another occasion to wear a pretty dress. She also has her First Communion on April 20th. She can't wait.
We celebrated our first Easter with Christina. It seems so long ago that we were at Holy Saturday and thinking we would have her home by now. But she is here and was excellent through the 2 hour Mass. We didn't even need to leave the pew. And no she didn't sleep like we had hoped.
My Mom had her last Chemo on March 14th. We are so excited for her to get her system built up again so we can see her again. We miss Dad, her and Darren so much. It has been since Christmas Eve since we last seen them.
Well Spring is here!!!! Enjoy!!!!
